The next “Debt Collection Dialogue” with the Federal Trade Commission is scheduled to occur in Dallas on September 29, 2015.  It is the second of three such planned events.  Representatives will discuss enforcement actions, consumer complaints, compliance issues, industry best practices, and the process for regulatory enforcement investigations and actions.  The panel will include Commission representatives and enforcement counsel, the Office of the Texas Attorney General, academics, and members of collection industry trade groups. 

The event will be in the Center for Community Cooperation, located at 2900 Live Oak Street, Dallas, Texas.  More information, including the specific members of the panel, how to pre-register, and how to submit questions for the two panels in advance, is posted at www.ftc.gov/debtcollectiondialogue-dallas.  

The third Debt Collection Dialogue, to be held in Atlanta, will begin at 1:30 p.m. on November 18, 2015, at the Latin American Association, 2750 Buford Highway.
