On April 24, the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation and Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business and Innovation and Entrepreneurship Initiative will host the inaugural “Fintech and the Future of Banking” conference in Arlington, Virginia.
The conference, headlined by speakers Jelena McWilliams, Chairman of the FDIC, and Steven Mnuchin, Secretary of the United States Treasury, aims to dissect the recent impact technology and innovation have had in transforming financial services.
The all-day event will include presentations from academic experts and discussions between senior leaders in policy and industry focusing on technology’s impact on peer-to-peer lending, credit scoring using digital footprints, automated, algorithm-driven financial planning services, and regulatory approaches to innovation and its influences on investor decision-making.
